Re: MQTT publish via Mongoose

And the saga continues: Events are streaming in fine now that the correct manager is being referenced. Now I'm trying to publish periodically from a freeRTOS task. I tried to pass in a pointer to the connection and dereference inside and got these errors: /Users/.../build/main/libmain.a(main.o):(.li...

Re: MQTT publish via Mongoose

Ah, yes that makes sense! Forgive the noob-ishness, I'm getting up to speed with c/cpp etc. Compiler was throwing errors that manager wasn't defined, so that was an attempt to forward declare. I see now that it created an entirely new instance instead. Perhaps that's not the best way and I should mo...

Re: ESP Event Loops

Looking at this example: https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/blob/master/examples/20_uart/main/uart_test.c#L156 In the above example, there seem to be two tests going on at the same time. Is the event handler "uart_task" necessary for the "uart_echo_test" function at the bottom?...

Re: ESP Event Loops

Ok, thanks much. This is more clear. I posted recently here http://www.esp32.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=883 about my event handler for Mongoose not receiving events. This looks like it could be related! I will try over the next day or so to add a call to esp_event_loop(my_handler, NULL); and see if...

ESP Event Loops

Hey All, I'm poking around and I found this use of esp_event_loop_init(NULL, NULL); right here: https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/blob/8bcd341fcae23c534ea98f47d1ba33e1694a9e48/examples/17_ethernet/main/ethernet_main.c#L131 IDK about y'all but this looks pretty odd, and it's the only example that ...

MQTT publish via Mongoose

Hey all, I'm using the following code to try to set up an mqtt connection and publish. As you can see I'm using arduino as a component for the ESP-IDF. My event handler never receives any events, which started me digging down this path. It looks like there may be a socket issue? But it may be that o...

Re: Store static file in flash

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. It comes from right here: https://github.com/whitecatboard/Lua-RTOS-ESP32/blob/master/components/spiffs/spiffs.h#L228 I think this was a build environment error on my end! Will continue getting spiffs working. Ran into another question, posting here for completeness s...

Re: Store static file in flash

Hi, I'm working with the spiffs library from Lua RTOS mentioned above, as well as @kolban's spiffs_vfs driver. In trying to register the VFS, function is objecting to receiving a spiffs_t pointer instead of spiffs. I've tried several different ways of accessing the "spiffs" type instead of...

Re: Question regarding Errata 3.3

Ok thank you for the clarification!

Sounds like this will not affect my code.
