Re: ESP32-S2-MINI-1, EDMA, PSRAM and cameras

The pins needed to connect an external psram are not included on the mini. There are however, modules with 2MB psram integrated in the chip itself. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Es ... 2B9A%3D%3D

We are working on a wetware upgrade. Once complete, you will receive an invitation for OEM upgrades at your local Soylent Industries facility.

Re: ESP doesn't work in AP mode when its RX0 and TX0 are connected

Don't connect 5V circuits to the esp32. You will need to use a level shifter.

Re: ESP32 malloc gives memory in invalid location or guru meditation

I am not going to debug your code, but I would guess you are allocating more than the available contiguous space. This works just fine: const char* fmtMemCk = "Free: %d\tMaxAlloc: %d\t PSFree: %d\n"; #define MEMCK Serial.printf(fmtMemCk,ESP.getFreeHeap(),ESP.getMaxAllocHeap(),ESP.getFreePsram()) con...

Re: How to check Arduino version?

Both arduino-esp32 and esp-idf will have defined macros (and macro functions) for this going forward.

Re: How to check Arduino version?

There is no function in arduino-esp32 to get the version before 2.0.
You can make a table to match idf version (the bit after the -g in esp_get_idf_version) to arduino versions. That info can be gleaned out of the release notes at https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/releases.
