Re: ADC1 on Adafruit Feather HUZZAH-ESP32 doesn't work with esp-idf

Because the output displayed different values with open inputs, I connected alternately the input pins with GND. Running this code displays that the unit ADC2 only works. What do you mean by this? Have you tried the obvious as well, that is, feeding a known, perhaps varying voltage into the ADC pin...

Re: internal functions source code

What do you mean? If you mean general TLS etc, that is open-source (see the mbedtls component). If you mean the AES encryption that's going on in WPA/WPA2/..., I think that's done in hardware. The setup for this is done in wpa_supplicant, however, and that should be open-source in the latest master.

Re: How to force a CPU reset?

No, not at all. It essentially just resets a bunch of flipflops to a default state, when looking at the chip level. You can theoretically have some higher-level effects, for instance when you reset the CPU in the middle of a flash write when the software cannot handle interrupted flash writes correc...

Re: ESP32 Github Core-- Is this a joke

To be fair there, the way Arduino support is implemented for the ESP32 makes it pretty easy to migrate to the 'full' ESP-IDF environment if you so please: the entirety of ESP-IDF is callable from the Arduino side and it's possible to import the Arduino component into esp-idf and essentially make an ...

Re: internal functions source code

No, sorry. While we're actively working on opening code from our WiFi driver, the functions in this file aren't open at this moment. Can I ask what reason you have to need this source code?

Re: JTAG - Watchpoint, value unavailable

How is data_rx allocated? If it's allocated on the stack, the variable effectively doesn't exist when the processor is not in that function.

Re: Controlling external DACs

There are very few functions you can use inside an ISR. Your best bet is to let the ISR set a semaphore (or equivalent inter-task communication mechanism) and let a task wait on that semaphore, then send the I2C command.

Re: Problem of using GPIO16 as UART RX with ESP32-D2WD.

Embedded flash is connected internally to pins GPIO16, GPIO17, SD_CMD, SD_CLK, SD_DATA_0 and SD_DATA_1. So ensure none of these pins are connected externally. (Ref: ESP32 datasheet Section 2.2 Pin Descriptions, Note at bottom). SD_DATA_2 & SD_DATA_3 (GPIOs 9 & 10) are not used for internal f...

Re: Benchmark: DAC versus Sigma-Delta

Because at least that DAC output routine is not optimized for speed. For most people who want to get speed out of the DAC, they're better off connecting it to the I2S peripheral and feeding it that way. You can get multiple MHzs of speed that way without any CPU interference.
