Re: ESP-MQTT Event Handler Failure

Thanks, I dont know how to active the MQTT_SUPPORTED_FEATURE_TRANSPORT_ERR_REPORTING feature. Just #define MQTT_SUPPORTED_FEATURE_TRANSPORT_ERR_REPORTING 1 or how?

Heap is stable around 205000 during connect-send-disconnect cycle.

Regards.

Re: ESP-MQTT Event Handler Failure

Yes I did see that eventually. Sorry. Yet, the system fails ALWAYS after some time. The system eventually collapses giving the error "Error create mqtt task" or 'Transport Error" or "Tcp read poll" in certain sequence. I have made many programming variations and still I get to this points eventually...

Re: ESP-MQTT Event Handler Failure

Hi ESP-Marius I found what appears to be a Task leak, not a memory one. As I explained, I will be Starting-Sending-Stopping A LOT. The test is like every 5 seconds. Should be no problem. I left the project running all night and a monitor with logging capabilities to record any problem. Several print...

Re: ESP-MQTT Event Handler Failure

Hi ESP-Marius YES I just read this a couple of hours ago. QOS 0 is fire and FORGET  About the STOP I thought this was the case but its not "fully" documented what it means. When you START you get a CONNECT(actually a PRECONNECT as you state here) and it seemed that the STOP will give u a DISCON...

ESP-MQTT Event Handler Failure

Hi everybody. Long time. Subject: ESP-MQTT and mqtt_event_handler. Using espidf version 3.3 downloaded 1 hour ago, using example of wifi/getting-started and added the esp-mqtt example emitter-client for mqtt handling, broker is Cloudmqtt. Local wifi connects and then I starts a cycle(about 10-15 sec...

@ G6EJD-ESP32 thanks. I used an LM2576 and it works fine.

Hybrid NiHM cells as battery source with tons of Amps

Hi Everybody. My Toyota Highlander hybrid battery had to be replaced( $4000) so I kept the batteries. I tried to use one cell(voltage 10.6DC read with multimeter) as a source for a ESP8266, before killing my ESP32s, via an LDO, (AMS117) but they get fried after 10 secs or so. I was daring en...

Re: WiFi bottleneck as APSTA when STA can not connected

Hi WiFive. Did try that, no such luck. It really eats up the WiFi logic. The CPU seems ok, its not a busy loop or similar. What I ended up doing is creating a sort of independent process for the STA and the AP. Do the AP part as usual, ei, ESP_ERROR_CHECK(esp_wifi_set_config(ESP_IF_WIFI_AP, &configa...

WiFi bottleneck as APSTA when STA can not connected

Hi everybody. Scenario : I have an ESP32 that will be a "server" that connects to the Internet as an STA and also as a AP, hence it is setup as APSTA. Several clients ESP32s connect to the "server" and send UDP packets. Problem : When the Server is able to connect to the external AP there is NO prob...

Re: UDP Multicast STA and AP

Well, I'll answer my own question I guess. Receiving Multicast is not based on IP, but on the PORT assigned. Ex, task connected to the Controller is a STA (IP 192.168.4.1) and the task that "repeats downstream" is the gateway of the AP (IP 192.168.10.1) and both create a Multicast Socket with the sa...
