To use the least current, you have to shut everything down. If you can sleep for long periods then you will happily trade the wakeup time for the power savings.

Light sleep can resume but deep sleep has to boot the whole app again. Are you taking that into account?

I think he wants to know how the wifi hardware and driver utilize cpu interrupts. Seems like a fair question because it is a shared cpu.
