Re: ESP32-WROOM-32D Minimum Voltage

Hi Mattia,

This is related to current drawn by SPI flash on board of ESP32-WROOM-32D and voltage drop on internal series resistance. For description please see PCN-02-20190815, point 1 under "Reason for Change" as well as "Impact of Change", points 1 and 2.

Hi Lio590,

What exact ESP32 module type do you have on your board?

Please check a note about GPIO16 and 17 for ESP32-DevKitC V4 (I guess this is the board you may refer to) at the end of Functional Description section, if it is applicable in your case.

Re: Documentation Requests/Feedback

Hi @Mr_Red, You are right, for “stable” release the specific version number is not immediately visible. It may be checked by clicking Get Started . Answering you other question, "release-v3.1" shows the current state (latest commits) of the release/v3.1 branch. To summarize on documentation availabl...

Re: BOOT: to press or not to press.

Hi stamasd, I see you are using V1 version of ESP32-DevKitC. This is fairly old version and I believe related description and fix specific for Windows is covered in https://github.com/espressif/esptool/issues/136. Try adding a capacitor as discussed in this issue report and the issue will likely be ...

Hi RobStev0,

NC besides an element on schematic (e.g. R23) means that this element is "not connected".

Re: Could not compile a light on 26Mhz crystal Heltec WiFi 32

Hi fasani, I think this maybe because your copy of esp-mdf is using an older version of the esp-idf that does not yet contain a fix to properly setting of the XTAL frequency from menuconfig - https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/commit/8e2856b83d2356600137d68da0b9b0398ce609a1#diff-0f7aa4f9a388f077a9...

Re: What is ESP IDF ?

Hello GeorgeFlorian1 ! ESP-IDF stands for Espressif IoT Development Framework Arduino ESP32 is a wrapper for ESP-IDF to make ESP32 easier to use for people without a background in electronics and programming. The project you described can be implemented entirely in Arduino ESP32, there is no need to...

Re: make monitor equivalent using jtag with ESP32

Hi salomonreinach, Hello again :D I like you managed to load ESP32 with JTAG without even touching a much simpler way to load it over a serial port. As you prefer to stick to JTAG, there is also a method for ESP32 monitoring without a serial. To go straight to it check documentation under https://do...
