Re: Main task ended - COM port not available

I have found a workable solution. When the project completes execution, then as the first thing press Ctrl+T followed by Ctrl+X. The word Done appears in the terminal window. Still, the esp-idf closed down the monitor automatically earlier. A setting or something has changed its behavior such that t...

Re: Main task ended - COM port not available

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried Ctrl + ] and also Ctrl+T and Ctrl+X, but the COM is still occupied. I use a Scandinavian keyboard on which the ] is the key combination Alt gr+9. How can I stop the monitor except for Ctrl+] ? How can I verify that the monitor is not running? Regards, Jorgen

Main task ended - COM port not available

Dear, I use VS Code + esp-idf extension on a Windows 11 PC. I start the VS Code. Then I run "idf.py fullclean", "idf.py build" and "idf.py flash monitor". This is successful and the last line on the terminal shows the project has completed and returned from app_main(). COM5 was used. Then I edit the...

Re: Espressif IDE, remove projects from Project Explorer and re-load them

Dear,

I have tried your suggestion, but the folders are empty in the components folder. There was code in the folders, when I made the project in the first place, but that code is not loaded into the folders when importing the project.

Version 5.2.1 - installation freezes

When I run the universal Windows installer for the new version 5.2.1, the installation process freezes. Please, see the file attached.

What should I do to install the version 5.2.1?

Jorgen

Re: Can Espressif IDE and VSCode be used on project concurrently

I am using the Espressif IDE with framework 5.2. I find it convenient and efficient, but I get worried when I see the total lack of interest by the Espressif company in the question raised. Espressif recommends the use of VSCode, and they hardly mention Espressif IDE in their documentation. Why is t...

Espressif IDE, remove projects from Project Explorer and re-load them

What is the correct way of removing projects from the Project Explorer? When there are too many projects in the Project Explorer, I right click on a project. A menu comes up. I left click "Delete". A window "Delete Resources" comes up. I tick all boxes except for the one "Delete project contents on...

Re: Error when installing Espressif IDE version 5.2

Now there is an offline Windows installer for version 5.2. That works for me.
