I'm designing a board with an edge mounted SMA connector for the antenna and am looking for design guidelines. The hardware design guidelines briefly outlines using a PCB antenna but not much more. Is there a reference design available for an external antenna? I see mention the ESP-WROVER has an ext...

Plans for complete BLE stack (ATT, GATT, etc)

Is there any followup to the announcement that CEVA will be providing the BLE stack for the ESP32?

Initial release form factor

With this exciting initialize release I haven't yet to find any info on what form factor is going to be available.

Will these first release be just a bare chip?
Small board like the ESP31?

Trying to determine what I should start designing for.

Thanks, Morgan.

Re: Interest in developer preview?

As usual I'm keen to have an early dig in. Sorry, BT stack hasn't been ported over from the ESP31 SDK yet. Was the BT stack ever release for the ESP31? Must have missed it if so. No, you're 6 months late because you designed for a product that wasn't available yet. That is bad planning.

Re: Evaluation of ESP32

Exciting to hear they will be available in mass so soon. Will the beta tests being seeing an updated SDK before then? It would be great to start using the Bluetooth features.

Thanks for the update.

Re: Problems with downloading flash

I recall seeing that error but cannot remember exactly in what context.

Are you using esptool32 from this comment? viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22#p191
That has a couple of fixes.

Re: INPUT state of Open Drain OUTPUT

Yup, with a closer look the original driver did switch to INPUT but I've messed up something... time to try again.

External pullup doesn't seem to help either.
