Re: New Chip ESP32-S2

I hope there'll be a new one with ethernet plus PHY and maybe a POE PD controller (the lack of those takes away some of the advantages of a small esp32, by the time they are added you have a big board like PI's ad such). IoT for buildings isn't safe/reliable when it's all exposed on wireless the us...

OTA via Command Line

A easy way to upload your firmware via the command line for OTA updates. Handy when developing / working in your local environment. Lets face it, when you get further along in your project, and put the ESP32 into your device and its several feet away or outside USB flashing is unrealistic. Video and...

Re: Cant find Serial Port after download

I had the same problem with Visual Studio 2019 with Visual Micro. Back then (as I no longer use these) I switched to PlatfomIO, and never had problems since.

I tried that but for some strange reason I was unable to get it working using the new setup.

Re: [IDE Tip] how you setup sublime for using with the ESP-IDF

Thanks for sharing rudi. Its nice to have alternatives. I was doing something very similar with Visual Studio Code. But since I moved to CMake, I cannot look back its just way to much faster than make. I hope Espressif comes out with a way to get VSC back in the game soon.

Re: Better way with ESP32 of Analog-Read on core0.

Gotcha, didn't know there was way more code you were doing. These things can not work in such speeds. I tried the adc measure function with a timer interrupt. But the fastest timer interrupt i can get is like what? 80hz? that is very very very low for my 8kHz needs. That is strange. Must be an ardui...

Re: Better way with ESP32 of Analog-Read on core0.

My first thought is to first use core1. Core0 is called the PRO_CPU, and core 1 is called the APP_CPU. All the internal running of things Wi-Fi and so on is done on the PRO_CPU. So i would first use a freed up core to heavy lifting of things. My second thought was (if I am correct) using XTOS_DISABL...

Re: New ESP32-WROVER Ethernet Board

But wait there's more, now with POE. WIN_20190815_10_17_54_Pro.jpg Thomas, I took a long look at your board. It is very nice. I think what you should do is start posting videos of it in action. Get more examples of it using peripherals like SPI & I2C. Show people though videos from start to finish o...
