Re: Fastest clock generated by GPIO

I get 10mhz doing this.

Code: Select all

void app_main()
{
	gpio_pad_select_gpio(BLINK_GPIO);
	gpio_set_direction(BLINK_GPIO, GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT);

	while (1)
	{
		GPIO.out_w1ts = (1 << BLINK_GPIO);
		GPIO.out_w1tc = (1 << BLINK_GPIO);
	}

}

Re: stdbool.h

I want to know if stdbool.h is available ?
Forgive my mood, but wouldn't it be easier to simply try #include <stdbool.h> to find out? Rather than to take the time to post the question.

Re: Can I remap the flash UART0 to some other I/O's other than PIN34 and PIN35?

There is an option in menuconfig to change UART0 TX/RX pins. But I am not 100% sure if that is just for the console only.
You can give it a try.

Re: Is it possible to receive GPIO edge type in an interrupt handler (ISR)?

Following the gpio interrupt example, and just to be clear this one here. https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/blob/master/examples/peripherals/gpio/main/gpio_example_main.c In the following task below from that example, you can add this to it to re-read the pin. static void gpio_task_example(void* ...

Embedding Binary Data using CMake help

When using make, embedding files was straightforward to me. If I wanted to add index.html & favicon.ico all I had to put this in the component.mk file: COMPONENT_SRCDIRS += WebsiteFiles COMPONENT_EMBED_FILES := WebsiteFiles/index.html WebsiteFiles/favicon.ico WebsiteFiles/jquery-3.3.1.min.js Trying ...

VisualGDB for the ESP32. Another alternative to Eclipse or PlatformIO

I wanted to let users know about another and IMHO a much better alternative to Eclipse or PlatformIO. It's VisualGDB https://visualgdb.com/ I have been using VisualGDB for a couple years now for embedded Linux boards. They have added support for the ESP32. I have been using this for 3 months now wit...

Re: Teething troubles

FWIW, I have been using VisualGDB because not so long ago they added support for the ESP32. It makes life so much simpler using their platform. I am telling you guys this because when it comes to menuconfig you can see all the options there so easily this way. I made a short video of that here. http...

Re: ESP32 compiling time is way too long!

- using -jx or not, didn't change too much. Strange, -jx should make a great improvement. Just to be clear your not actually typing "make -jx" right ? your instead doing something like "make -j8" or "make -j16". You should open task manger when you start the make, and ensure all your cores are bein...
