Spansion S25FS128 Flash Compatibility

Hi,

Has anyone had any luck upgrading the Flash on my Wrover module using a Spansion part, as in removing the 4mb Winbond part and replacing it?

I have a few of these in my parts bin :-

Spansion S25FS128SAGMFI101 - 128mbit and 1.8v

I quickly tried it on one of my WEMOS boards, and the CRC failed ...
