Re: TX Power Consumption with Impedance Mismatch

yes. it could happen depending on what the impedance is at that point. the transceiver is not designed to work under such conditions. Imagine the power amplifier trying to pump 20 dBm of power into a low impedance, and since power is current^2 x R, and R is very small, the current would have to incr...

Re: Antenna and reachability

antennas are a huge part of it. you have to consider the following factors: 1. are you putting the module in the right way? e.g. if there is a ground plane covering the module's antenna, it will not only short out the signals, but also cause distortion, possibly making most of the signal indeciphera...

Re: Newbie questions

could try running it and see what pops up. but how about just reinstalling the image to whatever that you want.

Re: ESP32 ADC precision

the ADC is 12-bit. but it could be affected by:
1. ground bounce due to power amplifier,
2. missing decoupling capacitors, and
3. insufficient settling time.

Re: Can the Bluetooth radio be used to TX/RX raw non-BT radio packets (as nRF24 replacement)?

In terms of power consumption if you are using ESP-NOW and backing off in terms of power, i.e. transmit 0dBm, i think you would get similar performance as Bluetooth. Although, the transmission occupies a large bandwidth, but the transmission time is much shorter. It might be good enough. In short, y...
