ESP32 Specifications (WiFi Receive)

Introduction This is a series of articles about ESP32 WiFi specifications. The organization of the topics presents the most important concepts first and the least important and most obscure ones, the last, so that the reader can stop at anytime when it becomes irrelevant. For a start, we will discu...

Re: ESP32 ADC precision

the ADC is 12-bit. but it could be affected by:
1. ground bounce due to power amplifier,
2. missing decoupling capacitors, and
3. insufficient settling time.

Re: Can the Bluetooth radio be used to TX/RX raw non-BT radio packets (as nRF24 replacement)?

In terms of power consumption if you are using ESP-NOW and backing off in terms of power, i.e. transmit 0dBm, i think you would get similar performance as Bluetooth. Although, the transmission occupies a large bandwidth, but the transmission time is much shorter. It might be good enough. In short, y...

Re: Here We Go: Release 1st Sept.

about the supply voltage range. the main issue is not with ESP32, but with the flash chips which usually runs off 3.3V, with the exception of some vendors which went as low as 2.2V. with ESP32, we decided to try using 1.8V flash; hence we can now go to 2.0V.

Why does my ESP31B beta board not work at low temperature?

The reason for this is a design change in ESP31B in the crystal oscillator to radically reduce the power consumption (during sleep), and add more tuning range to the crystal oscillator. This resulted in the crystal being sensitive to the type and brand of crystal used and somehow even the design of ...

Re: ROM functions

yes, the ROM is very rudimentary; we are in the process of defining the ROM now, including SSL functions, and especially those functions related to security.
