ESP-PROG Flash Port Labeling is Confusing if not WRONG!!!

On the 6PIN connector, the pin labeled with "ESP_TXD" is actually input for ESP-PROG.
I know now it means "connect to the TXD on ESP target".
But all good. board is working, I am happy :-)

Re: Setting up Visual Studio Code for ESP32 IDF

Giving up on Eclipse cmake combo for now. Cannot resolve "Unresolved inclusion". Tried funny ways to somehow get some of the errors, but not for production. Will give VSC a try over the weekend. Have been struggling on Eclipse Cmake for almost a week now. Need to settle on a environment and kick off...

Re: Eclipse CMake ESP-IDF

I followed the steps provided in the thread and got the hello_world running. Build is OK, flash into WROVER board is OK. Receiving messages from printf in the terminal window is OK. All good except the red lines all over the place because of the "Unresolved inclusion" I was able to get rid of the "U...

CMAKE with Eclipse, FAILED: hello-world.elf

Because of the slow compiling under Windows. I moved to CMAKE with Eclipse. The build complete with (0 errors, 0 warnings). But there is a FAILED command at the end of the build. [781/782] cmd.exe /C "cd . && C:\PROGRA~1\ESPRES~1\ESP-ID~1\tools\bin\XT1FE9~1.EXE -mlongcalls -Wno-frame-address -O3 -DN...

Re: ESP32 compiling time is way too long!

Glad the CMake-based build system is working well for you. This is our long term plan for a better Windows user experience. For the slow builds, if you (temporarily) go into Windows Defender and disable Real Time Scanning, does the build finish any quicker? Hi Angus It didn't help. I tried everythi...

Re: ESP32 compiling time is way too long!

I reinstalled ESP-IDF on a brand new laptop. Core i7 8th Gen, 32G RAM, SSD. Windows 10. Didn't use Eclipse. Followed every single step listed on this page: https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp-idf/en/latest/get-started/ All the way to Step 8. Excluded the whole C:\msys32 folder in windows defende...
