Re: GPIO15

Yes, these calls don't affect the GPIO matrix or IO_MUX so your signal will still be muxed to the JTAG peripheral. Easiest way to fix this is to use gpio_pad_select_gpio to route the pad to GPIO control, or use gpio_config to set up the entire pad at once.

Re: BREAK instr on I2S clock change

If I recall correctly, this got fixed a long time ago (although my recollection on this is hazy). Do you still get this problem?

Re: esp-wroom-32 WI-FI server/client

Well, seeing the chance of someone designing this entire project for you is slim to none, what have you researched by yourself? Where do you get stuck?

Re: ESP32-LyraT -- Wireless Audio & AI

Yes, we do have both the 1st design (using a h/w codec) as well as the current design (using a s/w codec library). I'm not sure what the extents of the release will be, that is, if we can/will also release source code.

Re: GPIO15

GPIO15 is mapped to MTDO on bootup. How do you initialize this pin in software?

Re: What would you like to see in The Next Chip?

MIPI DSI: If you're in real need of it, the ESP32 can actually fake MIPI compatibility with an external flipflop and some resistors. I have that working now, will publish the project eventually. Agreed that compatibility can be useful; will take a look at it. Larger flash ROM for data: You are aware...

Re: What would you like to see in The Next Chip?

TDM: Will look at that. Maybe if it's easy to e.g. integrate in the current I2S controller, we can have this done pretty quickly. Ethernet PHY: I'd love to see this and I'll ask the chip guys, but don't hold your breath on this one... as far as I know, it needs some pretty specific stuff on silicon ...

Re: [Q] Chip Revision in difference SoC's

The 'base' ESP32 silicon is the same; it's just packaged differently (with/without flash, SIP or QFN package) so the revisions are valid in the D2 and SIP packages as well.

Re: PSRAM support status

The plan is to integrate it in the esp-idf-3.0 branch, and we're busy integrating it now. You should see the first additions to the master branch next week or so.

Re: Read Issue with UART 2

How are you reading UART1? Are you 100% sure the static char line in readLine isn't overwritten by some other thread or something?
