Re: I2S details

Fyi, we have someone working on an I2S driver - it should appear in esp-idf soon-ish. The documentation for the I2S driver is going to take a bit longer, but I've tried to boost its priority a bit due to a lot of people wanting to use this interface - it should also appear in the technical reference...

Re: ESP32 as an SPI ADC sampler and Wi-Fi broadcast questions

Yes, it's most definitively possible to transfer in 16 bit of information. We're working on SPI documentation and drivers. Documentation probably will be included in the very next documentation release; the driver is scheduled to go into esp-idf 1.0.

Re: Use ESP32 as FM transmitter?

Also the RMT peripheral seems a likely candidate for doing weird RF stuff.

Re: use ESP32 as wifi AP/Ethernet switch ?

Right now probably not, as we're still writing both the documentation as well as the drivers about the Ethernet interface.

Yes, it should be in master now, commit a5552b1e21b725bc17882e2b44452d194b56f97a if I'm not mistaken.

FYI, we have figured out the issue and a fix should hit master today or tomorrow.

Re: Approval of posts and topics

It's done in order to catch spam; a lot of spammers will register an account and then put a bunch of commercial posts up. The requirement of the posts to be reviewed stops this behaviour because the spam posts will never be viewed by anyone, just directly deleted. I'm not entirely sure how it works,...

Re: .Net Micro Framework on ESP32 chip

We have no plans to do any porting of the .Net Micro Framework ourselves. Someone else is entirely free to do so, however.

Re: I2C and pull up resistors

As far as I'm aware, you need external pull-up resistors to get any performance out of the I2C port. You could enable the internal pull-ups, but they are to weak to pull up the lines quickly enough.

About the CAN controller.

Okay, documentation won't be forthcoming any time soon, but I may be able to drop some info that allows you to experiment with the CAN driver. The good part is that I can probably give you enough information to create a driver for the thing: The CAN driver we use basically is compatible with the SJA...
