Re: running ESP32-D2WD at 240 MHz ??

You can put small programs wholly into iram, most people are using too big of a program to do that. pico D4 comes with passives and the crystal inside, which you would have to fit in that 24mm² including trace routing to come out even. It is possible the reason for the 160mhz limitation is thermal c...

He meant did you also set ESP_INTR_FLAG_IRAM

Re: MTDO Strapping for UART 0

There are 2 bootloaders, strapping pin controls 1st, menuconfig controls 2nd. Internal pull is 30-40k I believe.

Re: SSL Certificate Renewal

Does your browser download a new certificate every 90 days? No, because the browser trusts the root certificate which has a longer expiration. However it can still expire so you have to be prepared to update it and recover from a device being offline for an extended time during which the cert expire...

Re: I2C device poses a challenge

20000 = 250 microseconds, max timeout would be 0xFFFFF = 13ms. However in no hold mode the device should be just nacking so you shouldn't be depending on that for your loop delay, use an actual delay.

Re: I2C device poses a challenge

You are still using E3 instead of F3. A conversion can take up to 85ms, would your loop cover that amount of time?

Re: I2C device poses a challenge

There is a maximum measurement time in the datasheet, so just vtaskdelay for at least that long. If you need to optimize you can consider other options.

Re: Reading DS18b20 sensors using ESP-IDF using a ESP32 with a 26 MHx XTAL

Apb clock should be 80mhz for both crystals, so maybe there is another problem such as the pin you are using is connected to something else internally
