Re: [Solved] Reading character input from the serial port

Yes, it is nice, except I am not sure why you are echoing the chars in the ISR (maybe just quick and dirty debug/test)?

I'm sure examples for all peripherals are coming soon. The led example was just added before the holiday.

Re: Assembler language reference manual ...

In fact, don't even do it on esp8266, use the i2s driver: https://github.com/cnlohr/esp8266ws2812i2s

Re: ESP32 and ESP8266 freely downloadable book

To me it is almost a fundamentally different approach. With esp8266, ram, processor, and peripheral limitations are always on your mind whether you are using native, rtos, nodemcu, espruino, arduino. For esp32, you have dual core, rtos, gpio matrix, coproc, DMA, lots of ram. You approach with comple...

Re: ESP32 and ESP8266 freely downloadable book

Thanks!

There is still so much info we haven't received yet. Do you have any plans to do an esp32 only version?

Re: [Latest Update] ESP32 Hardware Reference Design

I can't find where to post documentation errors: ESP32 Datasheet 3.1.3 External Flash and SRAM "ESP32 supports 4 X 16 MBytes of external QSPI Flash" this indicates 4 times 16MBytes "ESP32 supports up to 128 Mbits of external DUAL or QUAD SPI Flash memory" The SRAM issue: On the IO_MUX page where is...

Re: [Latest Update] ESP32 Hardware Reference Design

I must be missing something: In order to use the three UART devices I have to have the FLASH (25Q64 in my design) wired to the pins for function 5. In your PIN strapping guide there is no means to tell your boot code to user function 5 SD access so how can I use U1RXD and U1TXD? UART can be...

Re: Problems linking with math library - undefined "__fpclassifyd"

So how does this reconcile the mismatch between romsys and esp32.rom.ld?

Re: Can WiFi, BLE and BT be used in parallel with a host MCU

If you are a high volume customer you should contact espressif directly and get dedicated support. As mentioned, the software/firmware is still in development so: 1) yes when complete 2) i assume you mean mfi compatibility for restricted bluetooth accessory profiles and/or homekit. Obviously the sw ...
