Re: SD Card reference guide

Wrover-kit would need some pull-up resistors added. Otherwise, yes, it will work.

Re: Store static file in flash

C standard library does some buffering for you, it reads into a buffer stored in the FILE structure, and then copies data into the buffer you have passed to fread. Now why the data doesn't get read, I cannot say. Can you please add some debugging to see how many bytes SPIFFS_read gives you?

Re: spi_flash_read panic'ed

Wrote a simple test
program with ESP-IDF, that produces the same error.
Could you please attach this test program?

Re: Unable to upload.

Also IIRC on Windows you may need to press "Boot" button before uploading and hold it until the upload starts.

Re: ESP32 Arduino core roadmap

Many of these things first need to be supported in the ESP-IDF, then the Arduino core can provide Arduino-style wrappers for them. As features land into the ESP-IDF, it usually takes me-no-dev a few days to integrate them into Arduino, at least for most of the features which have an existing API on ...

Re: deep sleep and start time

1) part of the code which is executed from RAM is copied from flash to RAM, along with .data segment (non-zero-initialized data). 2, 3) i don't think we have these measurements (this time would depend on the application being loaded), but if i will be doing something related to deep sleep I will mea...

Re: ESP32 Wroom-2 and WiFi issues

This looks like the chip browning out when doing RF calibration, which drains a lot of current. Please try connecting a power supply capable at least of 500mA.

Re: Debugging ESP32 programs on Linux using an "ESP32 Emulator Library"

We haven't started working on this yet, but I do have this on the plan for the next year. We have a new team member joining us soon (early January?), this will be one of the things he will be working on. I'm still unsure if this port should be integrated into the ESP-IDF, or be done as a standalone ...

Re: Uart2 does not work.

You need to specify some real pin number instead of UART_PIN_NO_CHANGE at least for the TXD pin. It will help if the pin you set is the same pin which you are probing with the scope.
