Best way to pass data to the html website [sockets/mqtt/http rest]

Hi, I have http server running on esp32 that sends html website to the pc. I am wondering what is the best way to pass actual data from sensors to the website. At the moment I use simple http rest (Each 5 seconds, using ajax, my javascript code, requests json file from esp32 and fill all website fie...

GPIO34-36 Interrupt cause kernel panic

I would use pin 34 as an input with low level (GPIO_INTR_LOW_LEVEL) interrupt. Execution below code cause kernel panic on gpio_install_isr_service line. Why? Is there any workaround? Kernel pannic occur for any of input only pins: 34, 35, SENSOR_VP, SENSOR_VN gpio_config_t io_conf; io_conf.pin_bit_m...

Re: What would you like to see in The Next Chip?

1. More output pins! I miss 10 or more pins. JTAG and SDCard would be helpful. 2. Dedicated pin for RTC holdup: In my current products I use external RTC chip with 1.5F goldcap and read its time via uart using wroom module. Currently, for wroom module, adding external holdup power is impossible (pow...

Re: [SD CARD] Writes strange addresses (offseted?!)

Couple of cards that I have and test are 16GB or more . Writing 16GB in 512blocks with logging between will took lots of time. I didnt waited so long. Loop is intentionally without end condition because I will never exceed cards' last sector in these tests. To be exact I have tested both sdmmc and s...

[SD CARD] Writes strange addresses (offseted?!)

I have got a code that generates random buffer, sets its beginning to a phrase "sector ####" and writes buffer to next and next sectors. After writing it is checking, if buffer was written correctly. When reading card on computer, it turns out that on address 0, there is phrase "sector: 2048". Why s...

SPI: received data shifted by 1bit right

I am trying to test SPI device by sending configuration and than reading configuration register from TI ADC. Code looks like below. while (1) { spi_device_handle_t spi; spi_bus_config_t buscfg = { .miso_io_num=PIN_NUM_SPI_MISO, .mosi_io_num=PIN_NUM_SPI_MOSI, .sclk_io_num=PIN_NUM_SPI_CLK, .quadwp_io_...

Re: RMT fully in background: transmit or abandon

I am using RMT to interact with couple ws2812 LEDs. In my code there is a main loop (main task) which reads sensors and process results some way. At the end of the loop, accordingly to the result, I change color of a led. Sensor reading is fast. Its processing also, but communication with leds tooks...

SPI Read

How to read anything from SPI? /there is nothing about reading in spi_master example Would send one byte and receive one byte of a response. Code like below cause assert error because ESP_ERR_INVALID_ARG returned from spi_device_polling_transmit. void readSingleRegister(spi_device_handle_t spi, char...

RMT fully in background: transmit or abandon

Hi, I would use RMT tx fully in background: Main loop executes function for sending: if it is possible, it transmits data in background (rmt_write_items() with last parameter wait_tx_done equal false ) or, if semaphore was not given (still sending prev frame), it abandon transmitting that time. Will...
