Re: Audio Support

Hi Drasko

We have full digital audio stream running: Webstream -> wifi -> mp3 deocder -> i2c hardware ->
MA12040P

Works perfect - Noise level still to high due to already flagged APLL hardware issue.

Re: Issues with I2C? Only 1 of 4 devices found by i2cscanner.c

Hi
I did not have i2c communication with out additional external pull up. I have looked at scope plot with and with out 4k7 external pull.
The esp32 internal pull is weak - looks like 10-15k

I will post some plot next time I have it up running.

Re: ESP32-Lyra Smart Audio

Hi

Yes and I will be very happy to see some simple filter / biquad piped in on the audio stream - right now - i see that as the missing link to be a kick a.. audio platform.

By the way any new on the jitter on audio PLL ?

Re: I2C problems

Can random printf from different threads with out mutex access show up like this? printf (but not ets_printf ) to the UART already takes a mutex before writing. Even if it wasn't properly protected, I don't see how that would cause I2C to fail. If you can give us some test case which we can run, an...

Re: I2C problems

Hi Kolban Yes - I have seen some of your code using i2c_master_read - I will try a second time. What I saw as a missing stop message. I am sorry to hear that you could not find the datasheet of MA12040P - Spend the last 5 year on the team that created it - I will make sure we pay the google juice to...

I2C problems

Hi I have done some low level debug to get the hardware i2c block to operate correct. I see random brake down in the i2c communication. http://5.103.131.182/esp32_i2c/esp32_i2c_hw_haywire.png My setup is the webradio example from buddyCasino. The esp32 connects to my MA12040P Merus-Audio power ampli...

Re: ESP32 Webradio

Hi Jimmy
No sorry - was hit by work. But just get going - the code works out the box - mono. There is still room for improvement on the UX part of the code. /j

Re: ESP32 Webradio

Hi Sprite Do you have any numbers to go with that jitter? Fyi, we have a separate audio PLL in the ESP32, but unfortunately the details of that aren't public yet (as in: I'd love to tell you here, but I don't have any internal docs on it and our HW engineers are on holiday). Maybe enabling that can ...
