Re: Esp32 rebooting continuously

If you search google Doit ESP32 you will find a lot of people with this problem. it appears that their design is susceptible to low voltage, especially if powered from a USB port alone. Most people have got over this by adding in another power supply to Vin or to 3.3V.. My solution is to buy from an...

AnalogRead interferes with Digital Interrupt

I have deduced that reading an analog under a timed interrupt interferes with my digital interrupt. A Google search shows others have had this problem as well.. I tried some of the workarounds but no success Has anyone a proper solution for this. The attached code is a much simplified program. If th...

Re: How to cancel the Interrupts Stack?

Hi Could you please explain a little more on the stacking and halting please. I am using a timer interrupt and a digital pin interrupt. Both will not work together but they each run fine alone.. If run together then the onTimer operates but the handeInterrupt seems to just report a constant count. T...

Re: Questions about the WiFi library

You could set up the ESP as an AP network and have a direct access that way, or else have a phone APP search and connect to the ESP.

Timer Interrupt problem Digital and Analog sampling

I have posted code on this forum to allow the calculation of frequency from a square wave on a digital input . Works absolutely fine. I have also code to sample an analog based on a timer interrupt. This also works fine, giving me 750 samples for each analog, and sequencing between 4 analogs (I'm wo...

Re: Are all ESP32's created the same??

I also have had similar reboot problems which seems to be due to the USB connected power supply. Once the ESPs are powered remotely with a stable supply no problems.. There is quite a power draw when the ESP connects to WIFI and it looks as if the USB power supply was limiting the unit. Been using E...

Frequency Measurement on digital input

Enclosed is a program to measure the frequency of a square wave on a digital input. The program uses a free running timer/counter and digital interrupts. Hope this assists someone out there.... /* Measures the frequency of a square wave appliet to a digital input Uses a free running timer/counter fo...

True
But I would suggest that you go through git.exe on a clean installation and look at it from a 'normal arduino' users perspective..

Yes you are correct about the variety of USB cords
The problem is I am using the same cord to program other units

ESP32 Github Core-- Is this a joke

Late last month I went through the , IMHO, crazy setup of the ESP32 into the Arduino IDE. This morning I updated using the same system. Maybe I am naive and old fashion but I understood that the whole basis of the Arduino environment was to provide a low tech high level entry into the AVR world. Thi...
