Re: [toolchain v2.0] How to flash binary? (ImportError: No module named serial)

Yes that makes it work. But I had to restart the shell to get the message to work again: Project build complete. To flash, run this command: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\esp-idf\tools\idf.py", line 1311, in <module> main() File "C:\esp-idf\tools\idf.py", line 1226, in main cli(prog_na...

[toolchain v2.0] How to flash binary? (ImportError: No module named serial)

I can flash the newly built binary with idf.py flash no problem, but how do I flash a supplied binary? I get this tip after building from source: Project build complete. To flash, run this command: ..\..\..\..\..\esp-idf\components\esptool_py\esptool\esptool.py -p com26 -b 921600 --after hard_reset ...

Re: select() seems to signal data to read from a shut down socket

I do that as a "workaround" now, are you saying this is fine and by design? Why this change, it certainly gave me exceptions before.

But if it's the intended behaviour, I'm a bit more at ease :)

Edit: Perhaps there's a difference between graceful shutdown and a connection reset?

select() seems to signal data to read from a shut down socket [solved]

I use select() to catch read and exception events: returncount=select(max_socket,&read,NULL,&exception,NULL); This has worked fine before, recv() ing at read events and disconnecting at exception events. But now after a few months I need to build on this code for another project I have some problems...

Re: How to handle half-open TCP connection?

After reducing this option to 3 from the default 12 it actually times out and excepts the socket as it should:

Code: Select all

Maximum number of retransmissions of data segments (TCP_MAXRTX)

How to handle half-open TCP connection?

I have a TCP connection that works great as long as the other side works properly, but if the connection is cut for example because of a change of WiFi network on the other side the connection is stuck in half-open mode. I regularly try to send data on this socket, so the connection loss should be d...

Re: About the CAN controller.

Yes that makes sense when you put it that way. Worked here as well, thanks! :D
