Re: ADC speed?

There's no filter we put intentionally in the signal path. The bandwidth of the ADC just is more-or-less 6KHz if you want a linear frequency response. Oh, OK. So it could be things like layout within the chip or something that limits to 6KHz. I add an external anti-alias analog filter to limit the ...

Re: ADC speed?

Where is the 6 KHz analog filter?
Is that the “Low Noise Amplifier” in the manual?
Can’t that be switched out?

Re: ADC speed?

There seems to be a number of audio projects that sample up to 44.1 Ksps Here is one that samples at 40 Ksps and does an FFT which seems to be what you want. https://github.com/G6EJD/ESP32-8-Octave-Audio-Spectrum-Display/blob/master/ESP32_Spectrum_Display_03.ino I don’t know if this sampling is cont...

Re: DSP coprocessor?

Bruce, Just to see how it does, I thought I'd get the non-arm version of void codec2_fft_inplace(codec2_fft_cfg cfg, codec2_fft_cpx* inout) from Codec2-Ardino https://github.com/blanu/codec2-arduino working on esp32-arduino Do you know how fast that fft needs to run in real-time? I've been benchmark...

Re: ESP32 Race Timer - Bluetooth support?

Could a Bluetooth Low Energy link just send a short code to tell your current design which PCM tone to generate locally and for how long? Rather than send the audio itself. How about the WiFi direct mode “ESP-Now” on the ESP32? No WiFi infrastructure needed. The committee boat is the “Master” and th...

Re: Why Ios can't find esp32 on BLE mode

I don’t think BLE shows up on the Bluetooth Settings page.
Apple separates Bluetooth Classic (system space) from BLE (user space) for security or something.

Dual Core Audio Framework for ESP32

It may be my poor search skills but I couldn't find a dual core audio framework (analog in/out) for the ESP32. So I wrote one. I only needed voice range (8Ksps) but the loading is only about 13% on the sample service processor and the sample rate could be increased. In fact, had I known that, I coul...
