Re: reverted IDF version; now program won't run

Yes, I did. I also loaded hello_world and that ran fine, so I don't know what to think. I guess I could try building against V3.2 and see if that works. What do you think?

Re: reverted IDF version; now program won't run

Still no joy. I've done the following:

- deleted my build directory
- deleted my idf
- downloaded new idf from github
- checkout branch release/v3.1
- git submodule update --recursive
- run make flash

Still getting that abort on startup.

Re: reverted IDF version; now program won't run

Hi Angus - deleting and running make didn't change behavior. I'll try a make clean now and report back.

(resolved) reverted IDF version; now program won't run

Hi all - I'd been using the master version of the IDF for several weeks. Because I'm running into a few problems that I just can't explain, I decided to revert to the released version (V3.1.3 I think it is). I needed to change a couple include paths, and make menuconfig ran again, but building was f...

Re: I2C call panicking system

Another data point: what I said about being low on memory evidently was wrong: I put in a call to heap_caps_get_free_size(), and it tells me there are ~118K bytes free.

(resolved) I2C call panicking system

Hi all - I've been struggling with this problem off and on for months now. I'd been getting intermittent problems when making calls to the I2C library. I've now got it recurring repeatedly. Here's the trace: Guru Meditation Error: Core 1 panic'ed (LoadProhibited). Exception was unhandled. Core 1 reg...

Re: I2C malloc error

I have 8 threads besides main(). I'm sure you're right about being able to reduce the stack sizes. I don't use Bluetooth, or BLE, but I can't rule out the use of it someday, and since we'd rather not have to do 2 FCC compliance tests (one with Bluetooth and one without), I think I need to keep it en...

Re: I2C malloc error

Doesn't seem to be. Is it possible I have an option set somewhere in my build command files to suppress map generation?

Re: I2C malloc error

Thanks, Sprite. Well, I can't add memory to our board, so I'll have to try to trim some fat. How do I get make to generate a map file for me?
