Can I use an USB Keyboard with RS232 on ESP32 ?
Hello ! I need to implement that keyboard to that ESP32. The keyboard has USB and I found a USB to RS232 converter. Should I try and do that or it will be easier to use a Raspberry ? My ESP board: https://www.olimex.com/Products/IoT/ESP32/ESP32-EVB/open-source-hardware The keyboard: https://www.alie...

Re: How to send a signal through 2 wires using rmt.h ?
Goerge, Oops, I read through that too quickly. Here is another try an transmitting: https://www.codeproject.com/Articles/1250921/Wieganduino-Generate-Wiegand-Codes-with-Arduino I thought it would be necessary to invert the second line from the first. This shows how to wiggle each line in code. Tom ...

Re: How to send a signal through 2 wires using rmt.h ?
Take a look here: https://www.arduinolibraries.info/libraries/yet-another-arduino-wiegand-library In the in file there is a readme that describes the protocol. Maybe the code could be adapted to your project. Tom Meyers This is at the beginning of the readme: # Yet Another Arduino Wiegand Library A...

How to send a signal through 2 wires using rmt.h ?
Board: ESP32-EVB OS: Linux Mint Hello ! For the past week, I have been trying to send this binary number: 01100000101111001011111000 through two wires, emulating the Wiegand Protocol, to a Card Reader. Wiegand Protocol starts with both pins HIGH. When I send a 0, W0 pin is pulled LOW for usually 20-...

Re: How to send a signal for a set amount of time ?
No, you can use it for up to 8 pins. Note that you can't start the transaction on multiple pins at *exactly* the same time, but if you don't care about a tenth of an uS or so of delay, it should be fine. That sounds great. There is just one issue. I've literally no idea how to write the code. This ...

Re: How to send a signal for a set amount of time ?
What do you think ? You need another delay after bringing back the lines to HIGH ... That is indeed my bad. I have fixed that. Thank you. This is the resulting code that sometimes gets synchronized and sends the signal correctly: void setup() { Serial.begin(115200); pinMode(W0, OUTPUT); pinMode(W1,...

[SOLVED] How to send a signal for a set amount of time ?
Hello ! I am trying to emulate a 26-Bit Wiegand Protocol data transfer. I am basically trying to send a card information through the two data wires, W0 and W1, from the ESP32 to a station card reader to emulate a card being read. I have hooked up a card reader that acts a station to an ESP32-EVB: GP...

Re: Can I write ETH.config before ETH.begin ?
I can't write ETH.config() before ETH.begin() because I get the following error and the ESP keeps crushing: E (1384) tcpip_adapter: tcpip_adapter is not initialized! abort() was called at PC 0x4011615b on core 1 Backtrace: 0x4008c618:0x3ffb1c20 0x4008c849:0x3ffb1c40 0x4011615b:0x3ffb1c60 0x400d8047:...

Can I write ETH.config before ETH.begin ?
Board: ESP32-EVB OS: Windows 10 / Linux Mint I am using an ESP32-EVB exclusively with an Ethernet cable. I have a webserver on the device so I will need it's IP to access it. In order to do that I boot up the ESP and I look for it's IP into my AP's DHCP list. I find it and I type it in my browser. A...
