yes, it supports soft-AP + station. but so does ESP8266, although ESP8266 is kinda limited in terms of resources for this application.

due to overwhelming response, it's really hard to keep up with the response. but all the people in the beta mailbox are being considered for the beta program. unfortunately, not everyone can get the first 200 boards. we might consider another batch of 200 boards later.

We try to be compatible with ESP8266 as much as possible. (RTOS version of SDK)
But there are way more features in ESP32; that means that we have to expand upon the API. This is a work in progress and more and more features will be release as the SDK matures.
