Re: What about support for Apple Homekit / Google Weave (Brillo)
i have to clarify that support for Brillo is not possible with ESP32. Yes, we do have hardware support for encryption.

Re: Whats the word on SDK compatibility with esp8266 code
yes, it would be ideal, but i think, we can't do this in C without imposing a great deal of limitations on the new API. It's possible if we had done this in C++ though.

Re: Routing/bridging
there are some improvements in ESP32 to simplify the way packets are handled. so with minimal software intervention, we might be able to handle a certain number of connections. and btw, we have an Ethernet port as well.

Re: Samples of ESP32 where to get?
The first betas will be free for the selected group. Some are commercial customers, while the rest are mostly developers from the community. It's really hard building these 200 boards by hand, and so we will handover the release of more boards soon, to our partners and through our channels. More det...

Re: What Core does ESP32 is and which Chip Pack size we must solder and other..?
Yes, it's a Tensilica L108 Core. The memory map will be release soon. Yes, we have full support for eMMC. 6mm x 6mm QFN 48 pin. The names are still being debated internally. Number of layers in the chip layer is about 40, if it's the process steps that you are counting. We are considered frugal in t...

Re: ESP32 does have temperature sensor itself?
we have a temperature sensor. As of now, we are considering calibrating the temperature sensor. however, it is prone to interference from the heat generated by the WiFi circuitry itself, especially when the power amplifier starts transmitting. we haven't had a nice solution yet. but if we put the ci...

Re: Central Document Folder for ESP32
it would be released soon on this forum. we have 2 versions of ESP32. One version is the current version (which we internally dubbed as ESP31), and another is the final ESP32 to be released next year. The differences in pin out is a minor, with a couple of pins being swapped. So please take note of ...
