information required for ESP32-Bit module with ESP32-T devboard

Postby ammaree » Mon Feb 06, 2017 12:05 pm

For my sins (since nothing else was in stock) I bought two of the above units from Amazon early Jan. Since then I have had nothing but hassle and would appreciate some assistance.

My problems all stem from the lack of / incorrect information on the eBox website. No info of any form came with the modules and the pictures displayed on the eBox website is completely incorrect in the sense that the pin layout on my devboard is completely different from the photos.

Firstly, my version of ESP32-T has 2x20 pins as opposed to the 2x19 pins. Secondly, the bottom 5 pins (closest to USB socket) on both sides are not labelled at all, but based on inspection seems not to be connected to anything at all?

Items I would appreciate some help on:
Q1: Does anybody have schematics for this module/devboard combination?
Q2: If not, any info on the mapping of LED1/2 and KEY button to GPIOs?
Q3: Size of FLASH, assume 4MB?
Q4: Flash QIO or DIO and speed 20/26/40/80 Mhz?
Q5: Any way to supply 5V power from the L-Link EDU (pin19) via a pin on the ESP32-T ?

I bought the same two items: ESP32-Bit and ESP32-T. I soldered the ESP32-Bit on top of the ESP32-T All of my pins were labeled, and it started working pretty quickly. I did have to add an external 3.3V power supply to get a good wifi connection. I also had to download the usb driver.

Can you confirm whether your ESP32T is identical to the photo at http://www.eboxmaker.com/ESP32/esp32-t.html since mine is completely different..

I have got 1 of mine working, the second has an antenna problem, only works if about 5cm from the AP.

Main problem remain the unmarked pins and schematic.

@WiFive not sure if your photo is that of the old or new version, but mine are identical to the ones in your photo.

My ESP32-Bit boots up as an AP with the following via 115200 serial:
dhcp server start:(ip: 192.168.4.1, mask: 255.255.255.0, gw: 192.168.4.1)

It then proceeds to print out a seconds hms timestamp.
If I try and connect to the AP at: 192.168.4.1 it asks for a WPA password.
Does anyone know what this password is?
