How to use ESP-WROOM-32 to send wireless TX and RX commands from a PIC?

Hello, i'm new to this community and to ESP.
About my specific question, i want to have the possibility to send the commands of a PIC in a way that it's wireless and i thought it would be a good idea to use a ESP WROOM 32.
In the datasheet it has the following schematic in attachment.
Then i came up with what i think its needed for my case (i've seen this schematic somewhere on the WEB)
the image is in attachment.
Or do i need the JTAG part?
