Hello guys, i'm new at this, so i think i can ask to this forum about this, i have a project automatic door for cat so when the distance from the door to the cat is 20 cm the door will open, im planning on using rfid passive tags and long range rfid reader, but what rfid reader should i use that can read passive rfid tag for distance 20cm to 30cm? Im really confuse about this, cause this project for my final exam, please give me some advice and guide about what should i do next. And about the rfid tag passive is this one RFID disc tag, if you guys have a better components that should i use, please tell me

Obvious question, especially since this is for school: What research did you do yourself already? Did you search for RFID readers? Did you already figure out what RFID protocol your tag speaks? Did you figure out what is needed for a RFID reader to be long-range?
