ESP_Sprite, thanks.

I asked you because it seemed that you could help me understand.
Looks like there are no representatives of Expressive on this forum.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I am an Espressif representative, and I'm able to answer questions about our products. I am not able to answer questions about the design Norwegian came up with, simply because that design is his and not our product.

Hello,
I have not made any progress here.. unfortunately i dont have any Logic Analyzer to investigate the USB problems...

The device is still not recognized, i have tried several usb cables..
I have also attemted to disconnect the cable shielding of the usb cable.

OK, Linux sees a full-speed device, that at least means that your D+ has some connectivity.

Can you remove anything you have on the data lines between the ESP and the CPU? So remove D1-D3, C4, C7, C9.
Also, can you check the D- line? Does that have full connectivity from PC to ESP? It's not shorted to e.g. ground or another IO pin somewhere?
With all that, if you ground IO0 and plug in the board, do you still see the same issue?
If not, do you have more of these boards, so you can check if it's a fluke or if it's a design issue?

This problem is now resolved!
Turns out the tvs diodes on the usb data lines was the problem! After removing them everything works like a charm ;)
Thanks for all the help !
