mbed tls performance

Postby ls6777 » Thu Feb 25, 2021 5:51 am

I've setup the example, https_mbedtls, to talk with an AWS server. The connections are working fine, along with requests and responses. However, I seem to be hitting a throughput limitation I wasn't expecting.

With the TLS maximum outgoing fragment length = 16384, I'm getting a maximum speed of about 500Kbps upload.

I also have Enable hardware AES acceleration enabled.

I'm trying to get closer to 5Mbps.

I know this isn't a server thing, ISP, or router problem because I can send much faster from a test setup on my PC (~5-10Mbps)

Is this an mbed tls limitation, or ESP32 limitation?

Is there anything else I can configure to improve performance?
