confusing stack traces

Postby timredfern » Fri Jun 15, 2018 2:55 pm

Hi,

I'm seeing some inexplicable crashes in my esp-idf application. The stack traces look like this:

Code: Select all

Guru Meditation Error: Core 0 panic'ed ()
Core0 register dump:

EspStackTraceDecoder.jar says:

There's also this:

Martian?

I kind of suspect that the antenna is picking up stray EMFs from an electric motor and this causes the crash. Any ideas?

This looks to me like the console is printing every other character: `akrc:` or `Bctae` for `Backtrace:`

nb I'm using the Esp-prog debugger device with a custom board that has a very simple design based on the reference. The console UART is connected by a 10cm ribbon cable.
