Getting volume change notifications for ESP32 A2DP sink

I'm working on a A2DP sink application where I need to keep track of the volume level, which is set on the device streaming the audio (like an iPhone). Is there a way to get a notification when the user changes the volume, and be able to capture the new volume level in firmware?
