Eclipse C++ IDE for Arduino - futuring esp32 package

Postby rudi ;-) » Sat Apr 29, 2017 12:21 am

hi guys

not sure if you know, that we can install in Eclipse support for Arduino, further,
that we can by simple install over Arduino Download Manager Packages for Platforms,
example ESP8266 and other.

Is there a plan to do the same for ESP32?
Can we point to a link that we can install arduino esp32 over the Download Manager and the Package for this Platform?
This would be happiest doing cause indexing and other is support in Eclipse

-> https://github.com/arduino/Arduino/wiki ... pport-urls

excuse me, if there is still this future/support available and i have not seen this -
so please, point me to the link and readme file where i can do then this,
otherwise - do you support this perhabs`?

here is the link for instruction to install the Arduino support
Video
Portal

here you see the Arduino Download Manger, and ESP8266 support..
( edit: it installs all tools, make, compiler and so on with one select & click)

would be fine if we have the esp32 here too

txs,
there must then install
- vscode
- platformIO
and this does not help for my Q for "Eclipse" ..

..but here is a good instruction in example ESP8266
and we can use same way on "package_index.json" for the esp32 then.

best wishes

btw:
IntoRobot have ESP32 in the json file too...looks good.

Could you get that to install? I can't get it to work. Mine throws an invalid argument exception during installation right here:

https://github.com/eclipse/cdt/blob/cdt ... .java#L640

I'm not familiar with Eclipse plugins so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot further.
