Arduino for ESP 32 Dev C board stopped working

I am using Windows 10 and Arduinbo IDE 1.8.5

I get an error when starting compiling:
Capture.PNG
Capture.PNG (11.42 KiB) Viewed 6727 times
I have uninstalled the Arduino IDE and removed references to Espressif directories then installed Arduino IDE and followed GIT GUI/GET.bat to install Espressif/ESP32 in my sketch dir/hardware and then copied that to my program files (x86)/arduino/hardware.

I had been successfully developing for ESP32 with the Arduino IDE; something changed and I can't get working again.

Ideas, suggestions, ... ?

Thanks, Tom Meyers

Moving this to the Arduino forum as this is an Arduino issue.

Hi,
This is an issue with Onedrive and the builder, you can read about it here:
https://github.com/arduino/arduino-builder/issues/254

Toward the bottom of the page there is a link to a new builder that will fix the issue... at least it did for me.

I looked at my preferences.txt for clues and maybe an opportunit for more verbose display - no luck.

I am still stuck. Thinking back it may have occured when I updated my Arduino IDE to 1.8.5; mymemory is fuzzy.

Fixed
