Is possible to connect ESP32-S2 to a 4G USB dongle and connect to the internet? (not using WIFI)
This is probably technically possible. Depending on the exact USB device it may require some additional driver support which may or may not be supported in ESP-IDF.

Note that you can connect an ESP32 to a serial cellular interface right now, we have an example with support for the Quectel BG96 LTE module: ... pos_client - and other modules which support PPP over Serial should be easy to integrate.

I see the ESP32-S2 has a 'Time-of-Flight' mode - I understand the software for this is not ready yet but can anyone official comment on how this works? Is there some kind of hardware timestamping support on the wifi PHY?
