Can I flash Wio's firmware into ESP32 like ESP8266 does?

I like using Wio Link (http://www.seeed.cc/wio)which is based on ESP8266. I can flash the firmware into other kind of product which is also based on ESP8266. Like WeMos D1(http://seeed.cc/project_detail.html?id=1628). I just wonder is esp32 compatible with the firmware of esp8266?

No, but maybe they will make wio2 with esp32.
