Change the default OV2640 camera on ESP32-CAM

Hi,
I am wondering if I can replace the default OV2640 camera with one of a bigger resolution, and specifically with the OV5640 or one that is capable of 8 Mp image capturing. If I can, how is this possible? What modifications I have to make on hardware and software?
