Depends on compression ratio and level of detail in image, but for an order of magnitude; 10-30kB

I tried an ov2640 with my wrover dev kit. Its only worth using jpeg mode. Working with raw images is too much hassle so don't bother with the ov7670. You must have short solid connections to avoid any noise, even so its still a bit flaky. Missing a single bit in a jpeg capture will lose the whole frame which is easily done if a clock cycle gets skipped, so capture as slow and compressed as possible, and avoid doing other stuff in parallel. But the esp32 is much better than the single core esp8266 in this respect.
