M5Stack usbserial driver

Postby vibnwis » Sat Feb 24, 2018 11:38 am

HI there,

My apologies if this is not the right forum for M5Stack. I have problems to get the driver cp210x.ko to work properly. However, I managed to compile that in Ubuntu 16.04. When installing as suggested below, it says invalid module format. See below.

I had tried M5Stack, none of the know or use Linux. Hence, the founder said, they could not support. Please advise.

esp32@lts16ws-S550CM:~/esp/ESP32_OLED_webradio_weather_station$ sudo insmod /lib/modules/4.13.0-35-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/usbserial.ko
insmod: ERROR: could not insert module /lib/modules/4.13.0-35-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/usbserial.ko: Invalid module format

Well, that was probably a false alarm which I did not reset the system. Having reset the system, I see it has been loaded.
modinfo cp210x
