Can you please tell me if Espressif will support Ethernet and CAN Bus in their SDK?

Yes, we have plans to support both in the ESP-IDF. Unfortunately, I can't give you a timeframe when support for this will appear.

Will Espressif be providing a hardware reference design for implementing Ethernet with the ESP32? We would like to soon start developing a general purpose SBC board with Ethernet (using the new ESP32). Would be great getting our hardware prototype going while you are doing the software.

ESP_Sprite we are also very interested in a Ethernet reference design. I posted and enquiry a while back but I guess it was a little too early before.

The current status is that we're working on a reference design; the hardware for it will be done in a week or two. The Ethernet driver itself still is a work-in-progress, however, we're expecting the first version to be fully done at the end of October.
