Good afternoon,
I am using an Esp32S3 and I am mounting an external SDCard using the esp_vfs_fat_sdmmc_mount method.
I would like to get SDCard informations such as memory type, memory size and so on.
It seems that the sdmmc_card_print_info method does this. However, informations are directly printed on the screen.
I would like these informations to be available in the firmware so that I can test the memory type for example.
Do you know if such a method exist ?
How can I get and extract parameters from the CID for example ?
Thank you for your help,
best regards,

There isn’t a dedicated API that returns a structured info object instead of printing. Instead, the info is already inside the sdmmc_card_t struct returned by esp_vfs_fat_sdmmc_mount(). sdmmc_card_print_info() just formats it for you.
