Battery and XIAO ESP32

Postby francescofact » Thu Dec 18, 2025 5:59 pm

Hello all, I am exploring for the first time using a battery in my project, but i want to be really sure that what I am doing make sense.
Initially I bought a XIAO ESP32c3 as i knew it had the battery management included, but later i discovered that my 18650 cell i bought is unprotected, so i wanted to make the system more secure and I got suggested to use a TP4056.

The system also has a MAX17043 to get information about the charge level of the battery.
Is this wiring correct?Image

Well … this is not quite a wiring diagram, but rather a high-level introductory slide.
At high level, it looks ok, but as you know, the evil is in details which are missing :)
