I need to implement a local mesh network between devices, and I was looking for the ESP32 capabilities and ESP-MESH.
I've seen that ESP has developed its own MESH protocol, but I've seen that there is also a simplified version that, for my use case, I think is the perfect solution.
I'm just having a hard time understanding which version of the ESP32 board supports the protocol.
For instance, if I would like to use the ESP-32D like this one https://aliexpress.com/item/1005007268283554.html would it work?
Which ESP boards support ESP-MESH with painlessMesh library?

No one, no idea what boards support the protocol?

Thanks for the answer. So, for what I'm understanding from the table, the ESP32-WROOM-32 is not supported, right?
