ESP-IDF v6.0 is a major update for ESP-IDF v5.x. Release v6.0 is mostly compatible with apps written for ESP-IDF v5.x, but there are some breaking changes and removal of deprecated functionality which will require code changes when updating projects. We highly recommend referring to our migration guide while moving your apps from ESP-IDF v5.x to v6.0 release.
