AAC_DECODER: Calloc decode_buf failed. bytes 35456, (line 424)

I am on ADF 2.7 release master + IDF 5.3

the "player" I have is attached here and it can play mp3 files (stored in sdcard) but cannot play AAC files
before starting the pipeline I have esp free heap 129136 bytes

there is no source code of AAC , so, I cannot really have an idea of why it is failing

The question is, how do I manage to know why AAC decoder fails to initialize ?
The given file is one that linux vlc play happly

alternatively, what AAC decoder do you use ?
