Lierda Launches AM36 – World's First Tri-Mode High-Speed LoRa® Open-Source Module

Lierda, a leading IoT communication module and solution provider, has launched the AM36, the world's first tri-mode integrated high-speed LoRa® open-source module. Built to address the IoT industry's long-standing multi-mode collaboration challenges, the highly integrated module delivers one-stop communication for smart terminals and edge devices.
Powered by Semtech's 4th-generation LoRa® chip LR2021 and Espressif's ESP32-S3 microcontroller, the AM36 integrates LoRa®, WiFi and BLE into a compact 20×20×2.5 mm package. It replaces multiple discrete communication modules, simplifying hardware design and significantly reducing deployment costs.
The RF section supports LoRa Sub-GHz/2.4 GHz dual-band, 2.4 GHz WiFi and BLE 5.0, with FLRC high-speed mode reaching up to 2.6 Mbps and LoRa® mode up to 125 kbps.. Boasting -141.5 dBm high receiving sensitivity and +22 dBm maximum transmit power, it balances long-distance transmission and high-speed data interaction.
Featuring a fully open-source hardware architecture, the AM36 exposes all available ESP32-S3 pins, with PCB files, reference codes, toolchains and application projects available on GitHub for global developers to co-build the ecosystem.
The AM36 module supports multiple communication standards including LoRa®, FLRC, LR-FHSS, FSK, and is compatible with mainstream protocol stacks such as LoRaWAN, Sidewalk, Wireless M-bus, and Sigfox.
As the industry's most integrated and smallest LoRa®+WiFi+BLE tri-mode module, the AM36 leverages Lierda's nearly 20 years of RF R&D and supply chain experience.
