Resetting through Wi-Fi

Postby MassimoNap » Thu May 28, 2026 8:47 am

Hello, my name is Massimo and I’m writing from Naples, Italy.
A few days ago, I discovered that a device with the hostname WIFIAIRCONDITIONER-e930 and MAC address 78:E3:6D:B3:E9:30 is connected to my router (FRITZ!Box 7590 AX).

I’m quite sure it isn’t one of the devices I have at home,
but after doing a bit of checking, I realised it’s my neighbour’s Haier air conditioner – and I don’t exactly have the best relationship with him.

Now, I haven’t understood how it was able to connect to my Wi-Fi network (I have a rather complex password),
and I’ve also blocked its internet access via the router, but is there a command I can send over Wi-Fi to reset it or, more generally, disconnect it from my network?

I imagine you already know that it responds to ping, but it doesn’t respond on ports 80, 8080, 443, 1883, 23, 554, 6668, 8883.

Thank you very much for your help.

I hope this question hasn’t already been asked.

MASSIMO

Closing this. In most jurisdictions, the thing you describe (disabling a device that is not yours) is illegal. Please do not ask such questions again.

If you want the device off your network, change your WiFi password or block the device (on WiFi level so it doesn't associate) in your router or access point.
